Belarc is Melarc(ky)
At the outset, this little app seems kosher. However, it failed to detect that the Dell 16xx, 26xx and 66xx utilize Intel's Hyperthreading. Under W2K Server and W2K Adv Server with hyperthreading enabled (by default) the NOSs see twice the # of CPUs. If a 2650 is a two-way, the NOS'll see it as a 4-way and naturally Belarc saw it as a 4-way too. So apart from it's cozy little web-enabled output, it's no different than any other PC inventory app in the sense that it sees only what the OS/NOSsees, and not what is truly existent. If the OS/NOS lies, so too will Belarc.
