Windows XP ships with DirectX 8. By starting the dxdiag utility from the run command, you can view detailed information about your multimedia hardware and perform diagnostic tests using multiple audio and video formats. The diagnostic is extremelyuseful for spotting driver problems which can be a sore spot when using older hardware with Win XP.
Creative Labs cards have had significant troubles with dual processor hyperthreading systems. Check out the forum discussions @ www.2cpu.com. There are far better choices for workstations...and better pricepoints as well.

After I downloaded Burnaware Free Edition V1.3.1 from afterdawn.com forun "downloads",I lost my sound and couldn't find the software.Also when I saved it&Opened it Windows said:"corrupt files",so somehow a minus(-) was next to my sound card after using your instructions! i don,t know hw are the uninstall the audio driver but this are the computer is shuting down na after than driver is automatice uninstall the driver??????
i have a problem with my creative soundblaster live 24-bit when changing my windows from xp to windows 7 professional the computer has detected my soundcard but when the comp fix it theres a mesage saying that SB 24-Bit has a driver problem but it is working properly when it is on xp...i also update the souncard and install the latest software needed but same outcome happend what maybe the problem???? plss help..

its not working probably and it shows error called code 28 and it want me to boot up my computer and i have too much data how to fix this problem without rebooting the hard drive ??
