This test isn't realy relevant as 99% of all power supplies are switched mode, don't mess with these unless you know what you are doing as you will probably destroy your PC as well.

I have to do this later, oh this is more informative than the rest of the book ever i read and saw.
informative article, but really outdated now. Luckily I trust my http://www.ecpowersystem.com Power supply manufacturer and dont have to worry about testing him.
