The concept is great but the produce is weak. I've used Symantec corp. 7.6 and now ver 8.0. I had issues with 7.6 and never should have moved to 8.0. The centralized management is good up to a point. You can schedule your defs and push them out to your server group and you can schedule a scan for your group but look out when it come to fine tuning your schedule scans. There is no way to drill down to the file level to deselect items in a server group scan. The only way to do this is to load the produce locally and schedule your scan there. Well if you do that it really defeats the whole idea of SSC. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm really not impressed with the produce once again, I really wish I don't buy it.
SSC is very good for large companies and it is very useful for better performance of our company's systems also.
