Thanks for the feedback. In recent months we've tried to simplify our download process by posting PDFs in their original format instead of in a ZIP file. This removes the extra step of having to unzip the file, allowing members to more quickly access the document. It also allows members to view files on machines without a file unzip utility.

We still post some downloads as ZIP files when the download contains multiple files or is particularly large.

As we consider ways to improve TechRepublic Downloads we have considered giving members multiple download formats. Unfortunately our current content management system only allows us one format. I'm not sure if we will be able to support multiple download formats in the future, but we will certainly take your feedback into consideration.
