I was under the impression that shared key encryption with wep was a bad idea. I was told hackers could compare the encrypted and plaintext challenges to get the key. Is this right or have things changed?

I found this topic to be very useful, I needed to know various issues with securing wireless networks, I found an article on Netgears website about securing wireless networks along with this download it has taught me exactly what I needed to know about making wireless networks secure.
