I read it as a testimonial about 3-Com being a leader. Sorry but I've heard tht afrom SO MANY IT guys it just makes me roll my eyes and let out a big sigh now.
Avaya gets pricey, they weren't at one time but they are still good value for money in MOST hybrids.
Mitel, well they are just a die hard, not my choice though. I would suggest an NEX IPK, that's a really hot and expandable hybrid and the exapsnions are very inexpensive, makin gth elong term investment better than the initial investment of course.
But I got originally a feeling you were trying to stand 3-Com up to the proven die hards with over 100 years in the business, sorry, but no system at ANY price goes that far...yet.
It's really all about functionality, reliablity and deurability, everyone has a similar feature-set, that's what they are in business for.
If budget is a concern, stick with a basic key system until you are ready to invest in the right solution.
