I was wondering which models this works on. Does the 2501 have this capability?
Not modular to expand and they just wouldn't have the flash to do what they are talking about.

Also, look at your ios version.

Note: I have seen someone erase the flash before. It isn't pretty. Funny yes, pretty no.

Cisco IOS, a template of the best!
Versions are always of the test.
Nortel though its peer to know.
Web servers, here we go.

In a relative cost price over something better sliced
not having to squeak around like mice!
Thank you for taking the time to comment on this newsletter.

Yes, you can do this on a 2500 series router. I pasted in, below, a copy of how I did this on a 2511. It should be the same on a 2501. They are the same router, a 2511 just has async ports on it.

I appreciate your comments,
Sincerely,
David Davis

I have found this article very interesting and am planning on using the http server in a university project.

I was just wondering which IOS versions the PATH command is included in. I have got several IOS versions but none have the PATH command, they only have ACCESS, AUTHENTICATION, PORT and SERVER commands.

And will it work on any of the following routers:- 1601, 1603R, 1720 or 1721
This will only work if the IP HTTP PATH command is available. I do not know when that was added to the IOS, but you must be able to set the path to point it to your html files for it to work.

Turn Proxy Off
Iwhitec@... 17th May 2007
You DO NOT need the IP HTTP PATH command to make this work. All that we had to do after using the IP HTTP SERVER command was to disable our school proxy on the computer. You can do this by:

1.Going to tools on you web browser.
2.Click on internet settings.
3.Click on the Connections tab.
4.Click on the Lan settings button.
5.Uncheck the box under the proxy caption and click ok.
Your columns would really do well as an RSS Feed.
