How often do you backup your databases? How much time and frustration did that back up plan save you after your last unfortunate incident?

tools than the built in ones.
phppgadmin for postgresql.
phpmyadmin for mysql.

daily db dumps with full inserts, burned to cdrw in multisession mode. once a month fixate a cdrom with all backups.

never had any emergency that required using them, but by having them I know I will at worst have only a days data lost.
