Have you deployed SQL Server 2005 in your organization? Are you testing it for future deployment? What initial observations can you make about SQL Server 2005?

new deployement
netchic 6th Mar 2006
I am getting ready to deploy sql 2005 at a site. They have sql 2000 on another server for another app, but are switching accting and inventory to this new one. I'm fairly new to sql (I am also brand new to this site) and am wondering how much should I get the vendor of the new app involved in the decisions needed during install? I was just going to install with the default instance and create a new one when they come in.
Any recommendations?
I want to instal sql and in the authetication mode i want to using mixed mode but without password for login sa?
