for a test machine right?
debian sarge is the UNSTABLE development branch.
debian woody is the stable version.

Is always a test machine as such, all my valuable stuff is on my laptop, and i use my desktop for hardwar testing etc...
so technically, yes it is a test machine.
It's a dual boot machine, on which i installed sarge a couple of months ago.

actually meant as a rhetorical question, since by the time you get sarge installed you have been warned it's the unstable testing purposes only version.
I haven't looked at sarge itself to have a list of .deb package sources.
but thier development list archives will propably have the most complete listing, in people posting that they have this or that package available and where.

That's cool. It's just a case of trying to compile the longest possible source list i can for this.
Class it as greedy if you will!

Hey, I found an article that shows how to generate your sources.list file, with the fastest servers being put in the list first.
http://www.ctunion.com/node/45
I found it intresting to try this and see what sources had the fastest download speed. Have fun.

Hello !
There is a litle mistake in the sources list:
deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ stable
main ->> Change "stable" to "sarge"
deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ testing
main ->> Change "testing" to "etch"
deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ unstable
main ->> Change "unstable" to "sid"
Otherwise it will not work. You may add another
source to:
deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/
experimental main
Secondly, the KDE-source is not active any more.
Change KDE3.4.x to KDE3.4.3 , but there is no
Packages.gz yet. This will come up soon, I hope.
Best regards
Hans

Thanks for posting the default mirrors list, I couldn't find it anywhere else on Google and needed it when I was stuck in a bind!
