XML is a great technology for transferring information from one location to another, but, in a normal complicated business system, managing XML is no simple task.

How do you manage your XML? Do you have a favorite tool?
Generating XML is easy, but parsing it takes more time. In Java there exist parser generators that given a schema or DTD generate parser code for the given grammar. I have been using JAXP (http://java.sun.com/j2me/docs/webserv/JAXP_Tutorial.pdf) and XMLBooster (http://www.raincode.com) and recommend both.

For more flexibility and control we rely on the EDI/structured text files to XML solution as www.kvoda.com. For XML manipulation - Altova, XML Spy.
