General Instructions
Download an ip scanner program such as ipscan2.exe and run on your local machine.

Assuming you are running a private network such as 192.168.X.X with subnet mask 255.255.255.0, then ut will ping all nodes on your local network. You should be able to piece together who is who (for instance X.1 is probably your default gateway/router).

You gotta know your own subnet.

Ipconfig /all at command prompt. That will tell you what your address is, and defines your subnet plus your default gateway (98, 2000, and XP). Class C subnets have 255 nodes, plenty for small to medium networks. Subnet mask for class c is 255.255.255.0

Then use ipscan on your subnet.
