CompTIA certification route
Hi. I'm a technical writer for study materials on CompTIA certifications. From the work I've done, and from sugestions of book authors on the subject, the best way to go is to first take the 220-601 Essencials, and then go to the 2020-602 IT Technician exam. This will get you certified as an A+ IT Technician. Snce the 602 covers everything from Hardware to Customer support and ethics, you are most likely to cover the maximum specter of jobs as an office IT tech, help desk technician, assistaint System/Network admin and so on. The 603 is more focused on help desk support, so you'll be drilled on the OS section (30%) and communication with people (20%). The 604 focuses on depot technician and you will be drilled on PC components (45%), laptops (20%) and printers/scanners (20%. Check the comptia.org website for more details. And go for it! Its a good material to go through even if you have a decade of hands-on experience as I do. Cheers.
