Personal equipment/peripherals brought into company

Does anyone have a policy on how to handle employees that want to bring personal equipment to use at work? For example a printer.

Policy at my company
is NO!

All HW must be owned by the company and setup with access.
Personal equipment is not allowed. If equipment is needed, it goes through a small chain of approvals and then gets ordered (if truly needed).

Policy
Any and all hardware must be approved and accepted for use on the companies network. PERIOD, no exceptions, no fancy printers or strange devices on the USB. Some try to sneak their photos onto their desktops with those thumb drives, but more than one virus has been deposited on our servers that way.

Do any of you have a written policy that you would be willing to share? My email address is aduran@vnaelpaso.com.
