Linux and Mobile Broadband cards

I live in a area that I can't get broadband by conventional means. I know these broadband cards from verizon and sprint work because I tried them and I get good speeds But they are for only one manchine.

Here is my question. I am a windows guy and haven't touched Linux but I know that you can use Linux as a router. What I'm wanting to know is 1. can these cards work on a Linux box? if so how. 2. Once it does work on the Linux box how can I set it up to be a router so I can connect my other computers to use this connection.
