yikes linux! video driver help!

ARG! I thought linux was good or something! Well not for me. Yeah sure i dont know what im doing whatever! I fallowed the exact instructions by ATI on how to install the drivers. I restart Ubuntu and i get a blue screen! It sais it can start the GUI because its not configured correctly or something! rawr! please help me id appreciate it so much!
