I am connected to a wireless network. I use both Firefox and IE. When I put in google.com or any other website, IE says ..cannot find server..Firefox shows a blank page..I can understand the page is getting loaded but the page is not showing up. When I key in any other website...the back button gets enabled..which is an indication..
Also surprisingly I am able to connect to Gtalk or yahoo messenger. When I click on open my mails from the mail box option in both the chat interfaces..the mail box is shown in IE...but if I click a link embedded in a mail then it fails to open up...
I do not face any such problem when I connect my laptop to the Office lan..its only occurring at home when i am connecting to the wireless.
Very much frustrated..If any one can provide an insight to this it wuld be of great help..Thanks in advance.

Double check
Your wireless connection settings for your home profile. Maybe even recreate them and change your key.
In firefox choose Tools, Options, Advanced, and click the security tab. Make sure all Protocol options are checked and "assign a certificate automatically" is checked.
As for IE, I have no idea, if you have IE 7 I appologize, I have had nothing but problems with IE7.

Having same problem on wireless connection
No offense, but I'm sure glad to know that someone else is having the same problem. I just hope we can both find a solution quickly. I have two computers at home. One is wireless, the other is not. The one that is not wireless is not experiencing any problems. When I attempt to open Mozilla Firefox or IE, I get a message saying that it is not connected, although if I click on a link in the toolbar, I receive a message asking if I want to allow the cookie from the website. So I know I am connected. Even the computer system indicates the connection is working. Updates can be made. I just cannot see anything in either window. I have a sneaky suspicion that McAfee has something to do with it. I even tried system restore. It said no changes had been made (during the time that the problem began). This is a brand new system, bought just prior to Christmas. Hopefully someone here will be able to make a productive suggestion. Thanks in advance.

check firewall, proxy settings
If your wireless is provided by a routerw/firewall check to see that something is not misconfigured with your firewall.
also are you moving back and forth on the same laptop between home and work? You might have a proxy server configured on your machine or just in the browser settings.
