A little more info...
I'm having a little trouble following you.

Here is what I got.

1. You've recently reinstalled your OS (Windows XP)
2. Since then you've been having performance issues whiel running WMP and your web browser. (IE?)
3. You've found that your processor is pegged when this happens.

Here are my questions...
1. What process is pegged? wmplayer? Iexplore? something else?
2. Have you installed any plug-ins for your browser since you've reinstalled?

Thanks!
