Hi im trying to update the IOS on a Catalyst 3750
I have installed a tftp server on my laptop which is connected directly into port 1 - VLAN 1 of the switch
Laptop Settings: 192.168.1.10, 255.255.255.0
Catalyst Switch - 192.168.1.20 255.255.255.0
I can ping the switch from the laptop, but not the laptop from the switch and therefore cannot copy down the IOS from the TFTP server. Although I can see the IP and mac of the laptop in the arp cache of the switch
I have erased and reloaded from scratch etc..
Would appreciate any advice where i might be going wrong

Firewall
Do you have any firewall or any closed ports on your laptop?

No firewall + have even tried a different laptop just in case

Check VLan Interface
A few simple checks:
1. Recheck your network configs i.e., subnet mask etc.
2. If you have configured the ip address for interface VLAN 1, then make sure that you have executed NO Shutdown on that interface.
