our company is running Windows 2003 Active Directory, some clients having same IP address on DNS.
example : when ping client A, getting IP address 220.127.116.11, but when VNC to A will go to client B, ping client B will get same IP address as client A.
any reason why ?, we are having DNS/DHCP/WINS integrated with AD running on one Domain Controller
This is the same problem we are having. Our laptop users move from site to site. And there IP addresses are left behind in DNS. When you ping them, you get a reply. But when you go into the DNS console, you see two machines have the same IP. I think it is a DHCP issue, but not sure of the setting to make it go away.
