Here are the steps...

3. Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side

8. Click OK

This does not work. I followed all the steps, including reboot, and this does not delete anything. Not only the System Volume Information is still there, but it is still the same size as before: several gigabytes.
Well you may argue that it did delete the system restore points, but that is pretty useless if it does not free up the space occupied by them.

Try again.
If you had manually allocated more space to System restore than the default, you may have to reset that as well.

I have tried that and just won't work. The System Volume Folder is in my internat D\drive and it is now 160GB large. I don't need that in that drive and have tried permissions and stuff and think I just scewed it up more..they didn't teach me that when I did tech support for MS Vista...LOL...never had to deal with that. I know, me bad!
Any help would be appreciated...running out of disk space. Good thing it is a 750 GB. Not sure what will happen if it get any bigger...
thx Roxy

The original question was about Vista and System Restore.
Your question is about Windows7 and XP's remains.
WHERE is the similarity ??

The Auto Save Function in Word 2. Do you think that the Poster above can tell me how to disable it.
That's a M$ product though it is running on DR DOS 6.0 but as it's just a straight Software issue the OS shouldn't matter.
