how to instal PCI adaptor in Dell computer
Hi, worked out how to open computer! But can't work out how to remove metal slot guard before installing PCI adaptor. There seem to be blue plastic clips but can't figure it out. Can anyone help? Dell Dimension 9200. Is there anything else I need to know?!

Ah, the first time blues, I remember them...
You'll find a pair of needle-nose pliers go a long way to relieve your woes at this time.
The blanking plates are quite sturdy, but only while they remain in place. You'll find they are quite flimsy once you manage to remove one.
I usually perform Hitler's favourite trick - a war on two fronts: one hand inside and one outside the case chassis. The pliers will work on the inside to shift the tabs holding the blanker in place. It's really just a case of taking your time until it shifts free.
The adaptor is then placed parallel to the slot and gently BUT firmly pushed into place.
Job done.
