Connecting to a Hidden WLAN

My WLAN, if i broadcast my SSID i connect just fine, but as soon as i hide it I can no longer connect. If i try to connect using XP's existing wnetwork settings the entire WEP key does not fit within the available password area, but either way my pc does not even attempt to connect to prompt my for the password. How do you connect to a hidden WLAN?

When hiding the SSID
it should not be auto-found. You will need to create a profile for it, or by adding the network name

Also, WEP is really insecure. Try WPA2
