problems in squid?

i have installed squid as a proxy in the network.off late i have been having been facing problems in browsing the local hosted(virtually on linux) website in the intranet. even certain other websites which are not listed in the band list are no opening. i get a message sayin that its under construction. but when i get out of the proxy i am able to browse them. need help !!!
