Give Users Access to Lan Properties
I need to be able to give users access to the properties area of the LAN so they can change the DNS settings when they are on the road with their laptop. I have found various settings but none seem to allow users, only deny them access. It is already in place that only admins can make changes but I really don't want all of my mobile users to be admins.

Hmmm
If the NIC is hard coded with address and DNS then the users are hosed. If you are delivering the IP and DNS information via DHCP then all you really need to do is shorten the lease time. That way the user can get the connection information from where ever they happen to be staying. The most a user would have to do is run an ipconfig /release and /renew.

Apparently all I needed to do was add the user to the Network Configuration Group. Was that easy.
