Windows XP File encryption

Help I'm in big trouble. Had to restore Windows from a backup created prior to encrypting my separate data disk. Now I can't access the encrypted files. Anyone know how to access files when Windows has lost the key?

Ouch
I hope your PC is the member of a Active Directory domain with an Encryption Key Policy. If so you can get a domain admin to import the key and take care of you. If not, and you didn't export your own key for safe keeping, then you will need som outside help.

I have never had to use this sort of thing, but it is probably worth it.
