What is the best free FTP client app for WIndows?
I am taking over maintenance of a charity Web site as my good deed for the year. Problem is, the previous admin was simply using a Frontpage-like app to maintain it, and I will not be going that route. Can anybody recommend a decent GUI-friendly FTP app for Windows, just to simplify my uploading corrected pages to the site?

I have used CuteFTP
easy to use, works well, and is free.
Even has the option to force everything to lower-case, in case you are uploading to a *nix server (because they are smart enough to know the difference between upper and lower case)

Not really Jay,
the couple that I have used and could recommend (Cute & WS), are now shareware!!
I always like to look at Tucows for freeware, just type FTP into the search and filter 'freeware', plenty of options with good ratings.

You should know better Jay as you already know what they say
No Good Turn Ever Goes Unpunished.
Now who's forced the issue here?
As for decent Cute seems about the best and WS is in there but I'm not into this a lot so others may have an idea of something better though I've inserted Cute in several places and they like it a lot. If that is any help.
Have you tried looking on C Net.
OK ME BAD. I'll stop now.

I will break the trend here
Core FTP LE.
http://www.coreftp.com/
Just the top paragraph of thier site:
Now you can download Core FTP LE - free Windows software that includes the client FTP features you need. Features like SFTP (SSH), SSL, TLS, IDN, browser integration, site to site transfers, FTP transfer resume, drag and drop support, file viewing & editing, firewall support, custom commands, FTP URL parsing, command line transfers, filters, and much, much more!
Note:
That even addresses one of apotheon's biggest issues with ftp, it supports ssh / sftp in the client.
