Good Morning,
To a colleague's pc, after the update installation of a Mozilla's add on, we cannot begin the browser any more.
We receive a Warning , that the session doesn't respond with two options, one to quit the session and the other to continue.
1. Whatever will be our choice, mozilla doesn't open
2. We reinstalled Mozilla, without result
3. We even run Registry Mechanic, just in case, but this also didn't help
The OS is Windows XP SP2 and ΙΕ operates without any problem.
Is there any idea what might be the problem? Or, what else can we try?
Thanks in advance for your time

You may need to remove the *.xpi file that represents the add-on you just installed. It sounds like the add-on isn't behaving.
The add-on files are located in the user's profile at
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\\extensions\
If removing the extension's *.XPI doesn't do the trick, you may have to remove the entire Mozilla folder from AppData if the extension corrupted his settings.

Here is a link on backing up the profile should you need to save his bookmarks and other settings.
Post back if you need help restoring the settings or if you run into any problems.

Thanks for the useful information.
There is an option, which I was not aware of:
Start -> Programms -> Mozilla Firefix -> Mozilla safe mode
Then, I removed the specific add-on and mozilla start working
with Regards
