MIGRATING SYMANTEC to a *NEW* SERVER
This is what I found:
First your should backup pki folder and take full backup from registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion
To restore communication on a Windows server
Reinstall the primary server using the same IP address and computer name.
In Symantec System Center, right-click the primary server, and then click Make Server a Primary Server.
Stop the Symantec AntiVirus service.
Restore the pki folder to the Symantec AntiVirus Program folder.
Restore backed up registry key
Restart the Symantec AntiVirus service.
That should be it.
