Politics and I.T. survival
When it comes to office politics how can a great Admin bullet proof himself against it and navigate thru the pitfalls?

No easy answer here
You either get in with the most dominate crowd and play their games in which case the others will hate you no end.
Ignore them all and do your job in which case everyone dislikes you.
The ideal solution is not to be there long enough for people to get to know you so if you only drop in from time to time to do maintenance and repairs that is the ideal solution to Office Politics but for a full time person this isn't feasible.
