Because there is something wrong with it.
Now if you would like to pass along what it is doing with something a bit better like which OS is in use what it's Patch Level is and so on we may be able to help you here.
Computer restarts can fall into 3 distinct Categories Heat. Power Supply Failures or Corrupt OS Files.
It will be one of those 3 items that is causing your current problem.

That is exactly what the Wifes 35 year old son says too.
Naturally enough I never admit having anything to do with him either.

I haven't used Basic since I bought a VIC 20 for the Kids many years ago.
