Windows Only Allows Me To Logon With Fingerprint Reader...

Hello...I have win Vista Home Premium. I've never had a problem logging on until recently. I have a fingerprint ready that has been very reliable & will log me on quickly. I still use the regular way sometimes of typing in my password. Well just yesterday I clicked on my user icon to type in my password. It didn't work. I clicked on it & all of the user icons disappeared. I only saw the regular back ground & the little circle turning around & around like it was "thinking" Then maybe 15 seconds later, the icons popped back up. It will just do that over & over. The fingerprint will log me in right quick still with no problem.
Has this happened to anyone? Any way to fix it?
Thanks...roystreet

Try the Software...
Once you log in with your fingerprint reader, you may want to look into the software that came with the reader. If this is a Dell laptop, i had this same issue. I had to go into the computer. Uninstall the Dell Security Control Point software and re-install it. That helped me. So maybe try re-installing the software that came with the reader. Kris

I will look into that. I've never had this problem before & I'm back tracking through what changes I've made with the system lately.
