Help! My Browsers Cannot Access Internet!

My MSN messenger, uTorrent, Skype and Windows Live Mail are all working normally, but I can't get my browsers (IE7 and Firefox v3.0.5) to access any websites or even get to my designated homepage (Yahoo! SG).

I troubleshot the connection and it says that the problem might be caused by a Winsock issue which can be reset to default. However, after resetting that issue to default and rebooting my com, I still can't access my browsers at all...

Help... T-T

What happens when you try?
Do you get page load errors? Nothing happens at all? does it look like something is attempting to load? Do you see any information in the status bar at the bottom of the browser?

Also, there may be problems with the networks.

It is possible that your DNS server is down, or that you have port *) blocked in a firewall.

I get page load errors on both my browsers...

For security, I use AVG, Comodo FireWall and SafeSurf and Spybot S&D... Hope that helped...
If no one else has browser problems, Jacky's answer is the most likely candidate.

Download Spybot - Search & Destroy and install it. Update it and copy the the installed folders to a USB Stick.

You can now select the Safe Mode GUI and and turn off System Restore then run Spybot.

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, install it and update it.

Click this link malwarebytes

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.

* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

* Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.

* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

I would keep scanning with it until it is clean by closing out and rebooting and running it again.

Just to be on the safe side when you finish do an online scan with Bitdefender. Or Google for an online scanner.
