Virtual Domain in VMware

I have been using Msft Virtual PC to create a virtual domain between a client guest image, and a server guest image. I enable the Msft Loopback adapter on my local host, and configure the correct TCP/IP settings to allow the client image to join a domain, controlled by the virtual server image.

Recently, due to performance differences, I am starting to use VMware. What is the procedure on creating a virtual domain, similar to how I have done in VPC, with VMware Workstation?
