Dear Good Guys:
I have this problem of Microsoft Office 2007 Installer popping up every time I open Word 2007. Surprisingly it doesn't happen when I open the other suite applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc. I uninstalled Office Enterprise 2007 and re-installed it again but the problem persists. I let the installer complete and runs Word again but it continues to pop up. Has anybody any idea as to the nature of this problem?
Sam

Known Issue
This is a known issue. You need to download and run the Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301.

Sorry but I downloaded, installed and run the program but it did not work. I hope you have a better solution? Thanks anyway.

You've probably turned on an option that wasn't originally installed (ie, set to install on first use). It wants the disk so it can complete the install.
You can avoid this if you do a complete install instead of the normal (recommended) install.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise Edition but this this time a complete installation and not standard (recommended one)with all features turned on. The problem however continues. I am confused. Thanks for your contribution anyway.

There is a registry entry somewhere which thinks the option still needs to be installed. Just feed it the disk when it asks and let it complete the install. That will make it go away.
But, if you want, you can uninstall and then run the utility which Microsoft offers as a download to completely remove all traces of Office from the system. After that is run, you can perform the complete install once again. Sorry, I can't locate the download right now at the MS web site. But, I know there is one.

I have tried that using Revo Uninstaller which can be downloaded from http://www.revouninstaller.com/revosetup.exe - still no luck after complete re-installation of Microsoft Office Enterprise Edition. I'm sorry.

Friends:
I have found the problem at last. It was a faulty DVD drive. I replaced DVD drive and after complete installation, the problem did come up again. Thanks for your time and contributions all the same. I am closing this issue.
