Can I use a Windows XP CD to repair Windows 2000?

Specifically the recovery console to fix the master boot record and etc.

It says in the article that the recovery console is the same in XP, and Win2k. Is that not how you read it?

I did do the research and although the recovery console is compatible, I was talking about the ability to repair system files. It's fine, however, as I have rectified the issue. Thank you.
