is it out of warrenty?
because you'll have to crack the case and Sony is pretty hardcore on not allowing you to do anything to it..

"im doing some testing I just want to know where it is and how to access it or if there is an easy way to access it without taking it completly apart"

If you DON'T know where the HDD is sitting, why on earth are you qualified to replace it?

There are various steps on the path to testing - it would appear you have yet to learn how to crawl.

Send it to SONY.

if you don't know where it's at, you shouldn't be messing about...also, most of the answers as to "why" you're taking it apart are kinda vague...making me wonder even more what kind of "tests" you're doing.
PurpleSkys 6th Jul 2009
I honestly cant remember me having to tell you WHY i was taking it apart and why reply if you dont know ???
kaytech2 6th Jul 2009
unless you have a usefull answer dont reply. i was simply asking if anyone new how to access it easly as sony sometimes has it under the key board sometimes not, a simple question for obviously very simle people iv found it thanks!!!!!!!
kaytech2 6th Jul 2009
people just concerned we not giving you innapropriate answers..

with an attitude like that you'll find no one will help you again
Shellbot 6th Jul 2009
cant remember anyone helping me yet? More like you needed to know my lifes history then replied with nothing usefull why answer the question if you dont know the answer? if anyone had read my first question you w0uld have noted i asked ON THIS MODEL as different sonys different locations, It was a simple question with what should have been a simple ( its located here and no you have to unscrew it all) answer.

I know my profile shows me as new, but I have been involved with another tech forum for about 7 yrs. The last thing we want to do is take a person down a path that ends badly.

i apologize for trying to be helpful in the slightest way.

i appreciate you were asking about a specific model, but there's not a lot of model specific info out there.. some people DON'T check google first..just making sure you had any links which MAY have been helpful...
You didn't say what attempts you had made at finding the information, so how were we susposed to know. Next time tell us you didn't find on google..
In fact..next time don't bother asking at all if thats the kind of attitude you have.
Shellbot 6th Jul 2009
I've seen ya around..no worries happy

Some people eh..

Listen up, BOZO !! ...
You presented to us as the 'tester'.

Yet YOU are the one looking for tech info?

That seems slightly odd to me. Your attitude (and spelling) could do with an enhancement too.
