Hi,
My laptop has Pointsec installed (Windows XP Professional). I might have delted some files by mistake. When I restarting the laptop, I was seeing the message "NTLDR missing, Press ctrl+alt+del to restart". I booted from CD and ran fixboot. Then restarted and I am seeing "NTLDR missing, Press any ket to restart". Please let me know if there is any way to boot without formating and reinstalling the OS (which will remove all the data on HDD). Please help me to overcome this problem.
Thanks & Regards

I take it that you have an XP CD
boot to the recovery console and type:
copy E:\i386\ntldr c:\
Substitute the E: for your CD's Drive letter.

Lets hope you didn't
actually delete the files. Pointsec encrypts your entire drive and the normal recover methods will not see the OS.
You need to use the administrators management console to create a recovery disk (usb, floppy, or CD). to gain access to the system.
You may slave the drive to another machine, but you still need the recovery medium to access the drive.
