Has M$ changed their update schedule?

It seems for the past few months I've seen quite a bit of out of band update releases.

Just this past Tuesday I got a whole new batch of updates syncronized to my WSUS server.

Provided most of them were just "updates" and not "security updates" there were still a few security updates and all in all there was a lot of updates.

You do get the occasional one off but it seems M$ has been consistent in releasing significant numbers of out of band updates.
