My CD/DVD drives aren't seen after loading NERO and/or LightScribe

Mt CD/DVD drives don't show in Windows Explorer after I loaded Nero 9 and Light Scribe. Any ideas?
I'm running Vista Premium.

I have seen the same problem this weekend
The same problem occured on 3/20/2010 on a Windows 7 system with Nero and an XP with Roxio. Never happened before. Had to power restart each system to see DVD Drives. I suspect that one of the Microsoft updates is screwing with the systems as there was nothing else changed.

Why Nero?
Just wondering, but unless you're "married" to the idea of keeping this faulty bloatware, you might consider something else.
Nero also caused some of my systems to not shut down properly, after which I dumped it off all our systems.
But I digress...
Now we use cdburnerxp (free download) and haven't had any issues since.
Hope this helps.

The solution
The microsoft fix for this is relatively easy. Go to: www.support.microsoft.com/kb/314060
The article contains directions on which key(s) to edit in the registry. We have seen this problem occur with Norton's 360 and now Nero.
