offsite restore windows 64 bit/32bit

We recently upgraded our domain server to the 64bit version of windows server 2003. Our backup server runs the 32 bit version of windows server 2003. Can we run a live backup from our new server to the remote location server? Will it be an issue with the OS being a different bit version or will it be a matter of what backup software we are using?

Provided that the Backup Software supports this
It should just be a matter of sending the Backup Off Site as usual. The type of OS shouldn't make any difference.

Though after you do this I would personally attempt a recovery from the backup to make sure that it actually works. wink
