the red has disappeared from my monitor

i have downloaded an updated video driver,no help, i have check the cables and connection,good,i have checked out the monitor with another computer, the monitor is fine. it is a gateway 5088 model desktop, with an updated nvidia 6100 driver,where do i look next, the video card?

Has the monitor ever worked correctly?
Or is it new hardware that you have just connected?

Funny, I had another machine do the same
The red memory chip on the board was shot. It couldn't display anything red anymore. Occasionally if you giggled the card, it would work for a moment or two, but that's it.

Personally I'd bee replacing the Video Card
I think that was one of the NVidia Models that had a Design Problem with the Chips and failed.
