A single Windows 7 machine (x32) can access all shares on a server by \\servername\share except for one. This same machine can access all shares (including the offending one) by \\ipaddress\share. No other machines on the network have this issue (XP x32, W7 x32, W7 x64) with any shares on any servers on the network. The server in question is Windows 2003. It is still on SP1 (because we had a troublesome consultant that originally allocated the hard drives who made the C: drive too small to install the service pack - it's getting replaced very soon), but as I said no other W7 computers have this issue.
Unfortunately, this share is where most of our users' personal documents are stored and there is a login script that maps the drive to the servername so changing the mapping to the IP address isn't that easy.
