Group deleted in LDAP

Group got deleted in LDAP by mistake and I am trying to get it back. Can someone help me how to create that group and get all the users in that group again in LDAP through LDAP browser/editor.

Need more info
LDAP is a pretty generic term and this capability is provided by a large number of products with varying interfaces. Providing things like product and version go a long way toward helping people help you.

What process or service created them in the first place?
LDAP is a database with a fairly complex schema, and it must be correct.

Is this Active Directory, a Sun Solaris box, or what?

Using an LDAP editor to replace entries is like reinstalling a Windows app using regedit. It's possible, but too much work and prone to error.
