Hello All,
Title of this question may sound simple but it is weird problem.
We have two exchange servers.
melb-ex-svr in Melbourne
syd-ex-svr in Sydney
Exchange Sever 2007 installed on WIndows 2003 Server R2. Outlook 2010 and 2007 for clients.
Melbourne staff is on melb-ex-svr and sydney staff is on syd-ex-svr
Sites are interconnected with business ADSL service.
I am in melbourne office so my mailbox is resided on melb server. But recently whenever syd exh server goes down (if connection drops out) my outlook gets disconnected and doesn't get connected until syd svr is up and working.
I have checked my mailbox settings on server and outlook settings. Everything is pointed to Melbourne exh server.
Any suggestions?
Cheers

DNS?
Have you checked that you don't depend on a dns server in the other office?
Oh - and that you didn't forget to clear the hosts file after experimenting with something?
