Https how to block some?

How can i block https to some sites like facebook? we have a firewall but i think its not set to block other websites, because if we do then most of the users on this network won't get access to there email. Any other information be good all others i tried never worked. now i have K9 filter but everytime i add https to it surely does not block it.
