What do you mean?
If you always unplug you DSL, you already know what happens - no internet. So what are you asking?
Not sure how one could indirectly unplug something. Maybe using tongs?
i dunno how to disconnect and connect it..
By unplugging it?
Why? And why disconnect/unplug anything?

Depends on what it is you are unplugging
If it's the Filter you loose everything. No Internet and No Phone.
if you unplug the Modem itself the Internet stops.
Like above I'm not really sure what you are asking here. the very idea of DSL is to be on 100% of the time so you can always connect to the Internet or your Mail Server it's not like a Dial Up Modem Connection where you have to dial in before every use and hang up after every use.

PPPoE Shim
I guess more information on your connection would help with this as there are multiple ways to connect DSL to a computer or multiple computers. If you are using USB to connect the modem to your computer then you will likely have what is refered to as a PPPoE shim to essentialy dial and authenticate your connection although technically its not really dialing its just authenticating. So moving on if this is your connection type then yes you would want to disconnect and then use the Safely Remove Hardware applet that is in the systray to safely remove the USB device.
If you are just using a router to share your connection then really no reason to perform any steps to disconnect a computer from it. If you are unplugging it from the wall or your DSL filters then I would also have to ask why? It isn't really necessary unless you think it provides you with a better security option and in that case I would put it on a surge strip with a switch or just disconnect the power.
Anyhow perhaps you can provide us with more details of what you have and what you are trying to accomplish so we can better answer your question.

AnswerMan, that is a nice simple answer -- and I think that might have been what he or she wanted to do!

All the bad things that exist on the Internet would begin to ooze
from the wall jack. Thus you must never, ever unplug that connector, as your firewall keeps those bad things out.

I suggest you watch old RoadRunner cartoons and see what happens to Wylie Coyote when he unplugs things he's not supposed to.

What would happen if a person unplugs his/her DSL?
In the past, I have had problems connecting with my server and have been told to unplug the power cord from the DSL for about 5 seconds and then plug it back in. It fixes the problem.

That is not recommended!
You should never directly unplug your DSL. Indirect unplugging is the only recommended procedure.

You mean like sneak up on it, so it does not suspect anything?
From 2001, a Space Odyssey:
Dave Bowman: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
HAL: I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Dave Bowman: What's the problem?
HAL: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Dave Bowman: What are you talking about, HAL?
HAL: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Dave Bowman: I don't know what you're talking about, HAL.
HAL: I know that you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
Dave Bowman: Where the hell'd you get that idea, HAL?
HAL: Dave, although you took very thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move.
Dave Bowman: Alright, HAL. I'll go in through the emergency airlock.
HAL: Without your space helmet, Dave, you're going to find that rather difficult.
Dave Bowman: HAL, I won't argue with you anymore. Open the doors.
HAL: Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.
