Best places, for a graphic designer, to advertise for the world to see?
I am a Freelance graphic designer, and im looking for the best places to advertise my skill.. I dont design because its just an 'easy' job, i love what i do, and its really not that easy if you love it because your always trying somthing better and greater than the last design.. my only problem is, i cant find steady clients.. am i marketing myself wrong, what sites are the best to advertise this? Any help is a appreciated... my site is http://nsdesigns.weebly.com

A lot depends on what customers you seek.
If you're looking for local clients, then your promotion must be local. If you're looking tor corporate clients, that's a different approach.
If I were a freelancer, I would try to hookup with the best local design firms, as they probably have some combination of jobs they don't have time to accept, clients who they don't want to work with, or they simply need extra help from time to time.

thank you i will try this, i have with a few that are in my area but not with all of them, i am looking for more corporate clients, im a fast designer so its nothing for me to do 10 major designs within 2 days, but to this point i have been relying on the internet.. which to be honest has failed me, i get over 100 hits a day on my site, but never a request to do somthing.. so maybe its my site?

Personally, I think web sites are over-rated as a promotion tool. Like a resume, a web site is more likely to be something to get someone excluded than included.
Customer referrals and personal contacts are what you need. If you want exposure, you need to do some advertising of some sort, either in business journals or related websites, on YouTube, or in local media sources.
The Internet is a very big place; I would take the approach of considering where/how would you look for the services you offer? Would you start with a Google search, look in some sort of directory (e.g. Yellow Pages), or consult with some sort of service that matches providers with clients (e.g. iFreelancer, Craigslist).

I know your post is over a year old but I took a look at your site and I see you could make some improvements.
I don't know how many visits you have at the moment per day but if you were getting over a 100 a year ago I think that's pretty good.
You need an opt-in box on your website so that you can collect the names and addresses of your visitors. Also a speeded-up video on you home page showing you at work designing a project.
