date and time of all emails sent are reflected as previous days instead of the current date and time. I am using Lotus notes 6.5.4

Possibly Time/Date Zone
Make sure your PC is set to the right zone, date and time. And make sure Notes is using it.

The PC time zone is correct, date and time is also correct.
